Key Responsibilities

- The production and checking of detailed steelwork drawings for OHL designs.
- The preparation, checking and submission of CTQ's
- Production and checking of Steelwork tender information prior to submission.
- Guidance to principal and lead OHL engineers on remedial actions for corroded steelwork
- Providing programme updates to the principal OHL Designer/Engineer for the duration of the project life
- The review of method statements/risk assessments and the production, checking of CDS documents in conjunction with the principal OHL Designer/Engineer
- The production of detailed construction/fabrication for all Tower Steelwork
- The control of documents and drawings and drawings in accordance with AMEC management procedures
- Design input/output within the designated risk management process
- The qualities of all design submissions
- The detailing of steelwork requirements in conjunction with the Principal OHL Designer/Engineer
- Steelwork condition assessments (This includes tower climbing, therefore candidates must be comfortable with heights)
- Substantial experience in steelwork detailing
- Experience of detailing the structures, ideally OHL Towers or telecommunicate towers
- Experience of producing general arrangement drawings and erection diagrams and translating these into piece small drawings for fabrication and producing the associated material lists and bolt lists for the towers.
- Experience in assessing steelwork for deterioration and recommending remedial measures.
- Valid UK Driving Licence  
Knowledge / Experience

- Substantial experience in steelwork detailing
