Job Description
Our client is a successful and leading technical consultants within the field of Onshore and Offshore Windfarm Development and Project Management. They are currently looking to expand their team by recruiting an ambitious Technical Engineer to work on Offshore Windfarm projects.

The successful candidate will preferably be a mechanical engineer who can lead wind farm development projects and have a strong experience in negotiating and implementing wind turbine generator contracts. The role would involved the following Owner's Engineer responsibilties:

- Participation in project management teams as Project Manager, Package Manager or Project Engineer
- Lead the negotiation and implementation of wind turbine generator supply, operation and maintenance contracts.
- Prepare, review and submit technical documents relating to wind turbine generator performance, operation or maintenance.
- Lead interfaces with electrical, SCADA and structural teams.
- Supervising and overseeing fabrication, construction and installation works.
- The drafting of the technical aspects of Invitation to Tender documentation and contracts.
- Liaison with clients and the preparation of technical proposals.
- Leading contract negotiations
- Responsible for developing construction programmes and capital expenditure forecasts for offshore wind farms.

Skills & Experience :

Essential
- BSc, BEng or higher in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
- Previous experience of leading the negotiation and implementation of Operation and Maintenance contracts.
- Previous experience of preparing, reviewing and submitting technical documents.
- Previous experience of supervising and leading a team.
- Previous experience of supervising and overseeing fabrication, construction and installation of large-scale projects.

Desirable
- Post graduate qualification in renewable energy.
- Structural design and analysis of offshore sub-structures with detailed knowledge of design codes and design guidance and the ability to solve demanding technical problems to demonstrate structural integrity.
- Experience of working in the offshore environment for the renewable energy and/or oil and gas industries.
- Chartered MICE desirable, MIStructE or MIMechE or equivalent
