Key Responsibilities: Functional
Job Function:
To monitor and control all hydrocarbon production and utility systems ensuring that production targets are achieved as defined

Key Responsibilities:

Functional
• Ensure that all production operations are executed in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Safety Management System and in compliance with the production target set
• Co-ordinate activities relating to Hydrocarbon processing, water injection and utility systems in accordance with the company and associated procedures
• Liaison / communication with onshore Production Engineer on production issues and with onshore Operations Engineers on production and water injection process issues
• As ISSOW Area Authority, ensure the effective administration of the Permit to Work System.
• Troubleshooting as required and recovering from production outages as they occur (providing 24 hour call out assistance as required)
• Closely monitor results of analysis ensuring optimal chemical usage and compliance with environmental policy. Ensure that correct Chemical Management data is entered into reporting functions.
• Direct and control platform operations on start-up, or in the event of process upset, to minimise the loss of Water Injection and Oil/Gas production
• Facilitate the execution of all platform routine and Safety Critical maintenance work by maintaining close contact with Discipline Supervisors.
• Ensure that all plant, processes and equipment are functioning efficiently, with any failure of safety critical elements to meet performance standards being reported immediately to the OIM.
• Consult with the OIM and advise him on a regular basis on all matters concerning plant, process, equipment and personnel
• Consult with onshore Operations Engineer on any operational concerns
• Provide full logs and reports on handover and information on a shift by shift back to back basis to ensure the best flow of information and experience.

Leadership
• Manage and control the activities of the Production Teams in an effective, efficient and safe manner
• Provide positive leadership encouraging teams and team members to be a part of, and contribute to, the objectives of the organisation
• Ensure that supervised personnel are properly trained and that competency is assured
• Complete Performance Reviews and act as competence assessor as necessary
• Participate in own self development to create value to yourself and the company

Safety, Health and Environment
• By example, actions and initiatives, demonstrate and promote the commitment of the company to a safe and environmentally responsible approach to its business activities
• Liaison with HSE Inspectors, DECC, ICP and others as required.
General
• Assist other support functions to ensure that operations actions are completed in a timely manner
• As required, work in the Aberdeen Office attending HAZOP, Shutdown meetings etc
• As required, work on any other company operated field
• Liaison with vendors, contractors, specialists etc either directly or as a result of activities supervised by subordinates
• Liaison with persons involved with the verification as to the fitness of purpose of the installation
• Liaison with Agencies involved with the auditing of hydrocarbon metering facilities
• Liaison with other installations and control centres involved in the operation of pipeline system

Requirements and Skills:

Ideal candidates must have a thorough understanding of offshore production and utility systems and appropriate project management experience. The ability to share knowledge and skills when required and support and motivate others to achieve team goals would be of benefit. Candidates should ideally be degree qualified or equivalent time served and must be able to demonstrate relevant operational experience in a similar role.

Candidates should also be able to demonstrate the following skills:-

• Management of day to day issues and troubleshooting when required
• Supervisory skills to include leadership and direction, delegation, coaching and mentoring and performance evaluation
• Project Management, planning and scheduling
• Safety, Health and Environmental Management and Systems
• Performance Management, audit and investigation
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Commercial and financial awareness
• Computer Literate, MS Packages, presentation, planning and database systems
• Thorough understanding and previous relevant experience of being a Permit to Work Area Authority signatory
