Offshore Operations Coordinator job in UK
Our client is a worldwide group operating in over 100 countries. As one of the world's largest shipping companies, they are also involved in energy, logistics, retail and manufacturing and employ over 100,000 people. They are currently looking to recruit an Offshore Operations Coordinator based in Aberdeen.
As Offshore Operations Coordinator your main responsibilities will include:
- Operates the computerised maintenance and materials management system on behalf of the Chief Engineer
- Offshore focal point for all planning issues
- Ensures that relevant maintenance data e.g. job cards, history reports, etc are maintained complete and responds to requests from Chief Engineer and Lead Techs for history, scheduling and PM updates etc.
- Produces Safety Critical Reports on a weekly basis and is focal point for any issues with SCE PMRs
- Liaise with Material Controller on a daily basis: - ensuring that material / spares is correctly stowed, consumed parts are re-ordered in a timely manner, Lead Techs are informed of material arrival, general housekeeping on stores area, backload manifests are generated correctly in compliance with SEPA and IDG
- Orders job specific spares and materials, ensures these are referenced in MMS, and liaises with onshore to expedite urgent materials
- Liaise with onshore to resolve logistic conflicts with regards to supply boat loading and movements
- Assists deck crew as required on Helideck duties
- Meets with C/E and Lead Techs on a weekly basis to review contents of database, ensuring jobs are correctly identified and scheduled, that they are of value, that status / stop list / department etc are appropriate
- Ensures all departments are aware of the status of their respective SCE PMRS, and completes Repair Assessment Forms and Deferrals under direction from the C/E
- Close out SCE jobs for all departments
- Issues generated job list to Lead Techs on a weekly basis. Ensures job list is correctly marked up with priorities (R, O, G,) and SCE criticality
- Offshore focal point for MC amendment, and raises amendments as required
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
