Job Description
Support the Project Engineer in all aspects of the project during preparation of the offshore campaign:
• Supervises and manages the Company on-board supervision team HSE technical operational QA/QC.
on board the contractor vesselsresp. pipelay barge and marine construction vessel
• Liaises with contractor for all operational matters
• Maintains communication and coordination with the Onshore and Offshore Company teams
.
ACTIVITIES
• Reviews Installation Contractor procedures drawings documents and plans
• Ensures compliance of Contractor activities with approved procedures
• Issues daily activity reports to the Project engineer and operations manager
• Ensures compliance of Installation Contractor activities with HSE procedures and plans
• Promptly reports any non-compliance and stops work if warranted to avert accidents.
• Ensures compliance of contractor works with approved quality specifications
• Manages offshore company team of technical and QA/QC specialists
• Effective coordination with the offshore platform operations superintendent for all operational logistical and safety aspects.
Requirements:
Project involves the prefabrication installation and commissioning of a 24 riser connecting spools and the
near offshore platform complex section of a new 24 pipeline. The platform is located offshore Myanmar.
OBSERVATIONS
Location Myanmar. Approx. 4 weeks onshore preparation; 6 to 8 weeks offshore with onshore rest breaks to be timed ad-hoc according to the operations schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Fluency in English/ French spoken and written
• 10 - 15 years experience in different phases of offshore construction projects e.g construction supervision
and project management. Projects involving engineering procurement installation and commissioning of
pipelines and diving construction of underwater facilities pipelines and risers/ umbilicals/ spools/ etc.
• experience as Company Representative.
