Job Description
One of our major Oil and Gas clients is in need of an Offshore Construction Team Lead for a TLP project. Roles/Responsibilities Accountable for the overall fabrication verification, including material receipt, welding and fabrication in accordance with the project specifications, drawings and regulatory requirements Participating as a member of the Site Leadership Team driving excellence in performance and delivery on promises Overall responsibility for defining roles, responsibilities and expectations and for providing direction to the site Verification Inspectors most notably in the areas of safety and quality Approving Contractors fabrication procedure documents Focal point for review and approval of all Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs) and supporting Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs) Support role for performance of constructability reviews when required Lead role to work with the Rig Contractor to resolve any fabrication related NCRs, dimensional deviations or outstanding work Ensuring adherence to all applicable Regulatory requirements Evaluating performance of site inspection team Capturing Lessons Learned Qualifications, Certifications and Experience Degree in structural / mechanical engineering or equivalent Minimum of 15 years experience in Engineering and Construction, of which at least 10 years shall be in a managerial capacity Be familiar with national and international codes and standards related to the project English as a primary language Strong Communication and Documentation skills Competent computer skills in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel Strong People and Leadership Skills Able to interact with a diverse team Strong focus on safety management with relevant safety training completed Must have Offshore Floating Facilities experience!
