Job Description
Basic Purpose of Job: To Manage the team resident in the module fabricators assembly yard and act as main point of contact for the project management team in Aberdeen. To assist in bid preparation, appraisal and subcontractor selection. co-ordinate with Fabrication Subcontractors management team to ensure all aspects of the pre-assembly, mechanical completion, onshore commissioning and load out phase of the project are delivered to schedule, quality and budget. Acts as a HSE Safety Role Model for all our client and Module Yard subcontractor personnel and ensures all personnel under his stewardship and direction are fully engaged in project and personal safety goals. Supervisory and Managerial Duties: Main Duties: Responsible for the preparation of the construction/pre-assembly content of the Module Fabrication bid document. Review and appraise all bid submissions and assist in subcontractor selection process. Conducts pre-award Module yard visits with other WGENS Management Team members and appraises potential subcontractors facilities and capabilities. Along with Construction Manager and Project Engineer interviews and participates in selection of module yard management team members. Negotiates facilities for our team within Module Yard through subcontractor. Reviews and Agrees Subcontractor Pre-assembly plans against Project Master schedule and ensures constructability is acknowledged and documented. Ensures subcontractor workpack development is in line with agreed schedules and to required spec/quality. Ensures our client free issued material is stored and managed in accordance with project and vendor requirements. Ensures that Subcontractors workforce is productively engaged at all times and seeks proactively to resolve any issues that may lead to non productive time. Keeps daily log of project events and ensures that all other team members do likewise. Health and Safety Responsibilities: Education & Qualifications: Specific Training / Specialist Skills: Experience: Oil and Gas Industry experience Strong contractual awareness pertinent to Module Fabrication subcontracts essential. Previous experience as Manager of remote multi disciplined team in PM role essential. Sound knowledge and experience of Multi discipline Construction planning, execution, commissioning and close out essential Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to represent our client professionally with Client and 3rd parties Proactive approach to problem solving involving multi-disciplines. Computer literate (MS Office programmes) with knowledge of Primevera planning tool
