This person shall be an experienced Mechanical Engineer capable of carrying out the following duties:

a           Overseeing the installation/erection of mechanical Static equipment to ensure compliance with the AKER SOLUTIONS specifications and Vendor Installation instructions.   

b          On behalf of the CLIENT maintain a watching brief on the quality of construction by regular work place inspections. 

c          Assess construction technical problems encountered by the construction contractor and any associated request by the construction contractor to deviate from the approved for construction design data. 

d          Obtaining mark-ups of any as-built changes to the off-shore static equipment items/packages.  Note these mark-ups will be drawn by the engineering contractor responsible for detail design ISBL / OSBL.

e           Maintaining a watching brief on the safety aspects of the installation/erection of the static equipment and identifying any problems to the AKER SOLUTIONS Site General Representative.

f           Responding to queries relating to the AKER SOLUTIONS specifications and vendor documents for static off-shore items.

g           Providing input to the resolution of any clashes with structures piping cable trays etc.  

The individual must be familiar with the normal format of vendor documents such as: GAs bills of materials etc.

The individual must be fully aware at all times of safety matters.
