Job Title: Mechanical Designer Location: Cumbria Rate: Negotiable Duration: 12 Months The Role: The company is a market leader in the nuclear decommissioning industry. They are seeking to recruit a Mechanical Designer to be based at their offices in Westlakes Cumbria. The role of Mechanical Designer is required as our client are looking to further strengthen their design capabilities at Westlakes and also as a result of continued project awards Essential skills and qualifications: It is essential the Mechanical Designer has nuclear experience The Mechanical Designer will be able to provide fit for purpose and cost effective design documentation outputs to timescales and budgets ensuring minimum rework following checking With guidance the Mechanical Designer can provide material and hardware selection to suit the design criteria Undertaking self checking of their detail drawings prior to issuing them for formal checking will be an important element of work for the Mechanical Designer All applicants must be educated to a minimum of ONC level Desirable Skills and Qualifications: It would be advantageous if the Mechanical Designer has working knowledge of MHDs MSDs DPDs MFDs GAs.
