A dynamic company, which provides a range of engineering products and services to the energy industry. The company has been developed by both organic growth and strategic acquisition of key businesses and will continue to grow in this way.
Structural / Mechanical Engineers - Design & Project
Having recently interviewed and identified the first phase of their engineering department expansion, they now require further engineers that may be interested in joining them. We now need a structural or mechanical engineer to take responsibility for their projects from inception to completion. Whilst they are investing in cutting edge technology and their engineering department is modern, they also rely heavily on their engineers having the ability to apply traditional methods to the engineering process, for example hand calculations and the application of first principles. They want to hear from engineers with a good design background that have exposure to managing and delivering projects, stress analysis, Supervise the manufacture and build, Supervise the installation and/or project implementation, Supervision of junior staff & checking others' work, Undertake customer visits in support of specific projects (On & offshore) or business development as and when required. Offshore and international trips will be a part of the role from time to time. The role will encompass around 20% design and 80 % project management and candidates should keep this in mind. Applications should have a track record in structural and or mechanical engineering, the ability to carry out calculations and the motivation to take on large scale projects and deliver on time. There are several positions at a variety of levels for this department. Candidates with a track record in lifting & handling systems or heavy steel structure work for the oil and gas market will be of extreme interest however this company is also very keen to hear from structural engineers in the construction industry that wish to move into oil & gas in Aberdeen.
Candidates not living in Aberdeen will be required to relocate to the area permanently.
