Materials and Corrosion Engineer - 64230 job in Europe and CIS General
Our Client has a vacancy for a Materials and Corrosion Engineer, based in Monaco. This is a contract position.
As Materials and Corrosion Engineer, your responsibilities will include the following:
Responsible for material compatibility with service (fluid/environment) and fitness for purpose for the design life of the units, including consideration of corrosion, mechanical properties, inspection, availability, cost.
Responsible for material specification (material quality requirements).
Develop Material Selection Report and associated diagrams, including:
Development of material selection strategy for process units.
CO2 corrosion rate calculations (DeWaard & Milliams, NORSOK M-506).
Materials susceptibility to H2S service using NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156.
Solid particle erosion evaluation.
Requirements for corrosion monitoring.
Requirements for internal and external corrosion protection.
Materials susceptibility to external chloride stress corrosion cracking.
Materials susceptibility to corrosion under insulation.
Develop Corrosion Monitoring Specification.
Requirements:
Ability to:
Manage priorities effectively.
Create and maintain effective working relationships.
Work rigorously on fast-track projects.
Understand process documentation.
Skills:
Excellent English both written and spoken.
Experience in a similar position.
Familiar with materials and corrosion issues in offshore oil and gas producing environment.
Organizational skills.
