CCL (cclglobal.com) has been requested by a major international oil company to provide a Marine Structural Engineer to be based in Lagos. Residential position. One year renewable contract. Travel / offshore working as requested by Client. Excellent rate / T&Cs for this specialist position. Engineering Degree in relevant discipline (offshore structural engineering, hydrodynamics). Knowledge of structure / metallurgy / corrosion and international design codes / standards. Proficient user of software used for moorings design. Familiar with offshore works. Previous West African experience is an advantage. All nationalities considered but must have fluent written and spoken English. Between 5 and 10 years experience in Offloading Buoy engineering for deepwater projects. Reporting to the System Leader / UFR Engineering Manager duties include supervision of detailed definition of the Offloading Buoy (functional requirements, engineering, fabrication, tests, installation, pre-commissioning). Also will review pre-project documentation and liaise with company specialists for selecting codes / standards / specifications to be applied for engineering / fabrication / installation and pre-commissioning of Offloading buoy including moorings. Follow-up of all Offloading buoy basic engineering studies and review of all related reports and documents. Analysis of UFR Basic Engineering Contractor technical queries and preparation of comments and proposed solutions to these queries.
