Job Description
Our client a major Oil and Gas operator is looking for Marine Control Room Operators to be based in Singapore/Angola on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating of all marine equipment in order to safely maximise production from the associated fields. In particular the loading storage and offloading of the stabilised crude oil to the trading tankers.
- Take responsibility as a role model for Health safety and Environmental commitments.
- Central Control Room point of contact for the safe operation of all marine equipment.
- Actively manage the development and competency sign off of the Angolan technicians.
- Liaise with offshore support vendors to deliver the necessary equipment availability and performance.
- Manage all export operations on behalf of the marine Supervisor and report any deviations from loading/export plan.
- Work with the marine supervisor terminal superintendent and governments officials to manage cargo offloading operations.
Seeking candidates with the following attributes:
- At least 7 years experience as a Control Room Operator
- Extensive knowledge of Safe systems of Work including permit to work.
- Knowledge or risk assessment process.
- Extensive knowledge of Marine Systems and Shipping.
- Experience on trading oil tankers in a deck officer or similar role.
- Proven coaching skills with a track record of developing technicians.
- Certificate of Competency in either ballast operations or marine engineering.
