Logistics Coordinator

South London

Our client is looking to recruit as additional Logistics Co-ordinator to wor in our clients London office. As part of the Africa Logistics Team, the Project Logistics Coordinator will provide both Internal and In Country representation prior to and during Project.

Establish contacts within local authorities, organisations, Third Party companies and service providers in order to ensure Project operations, including subcontractor activities are executed safely and efficiently
Provide In Country knowledge to UK Personnel Department to ensure crew changes are organised and requirements from local authorities are understood. Whilst in country the SLC will be in attendance to ensure smooth running of crew changes and deal with any related issues which may arise and be first point contact for these matters
Will carry out arriving passenger In Country briefing which will cover but not be limited to local health, safety and latest security issues
Will ensure that appointed local agent has all necessary vessel clearance paperwork and that port calls are organised and requirements from local authorities are fully met
In keeping with vessel arrival and any subsequent Port visits SLC will in conjunction with appointed local agent ensure import and exportation's are in accordance with all contractual obligations and requirements from local authorities are met
Will be the onshore Emergency Response Coordinator and will be first point of contact to the client
Will attend any Client Daily Meetings and will respond to any subsequent requests
During vessel in country durations/operations will be the first point contact for any requests on behalf of the vessel
Presentation
A fluent communicator with an ability to work with people of different nationalities. Professional outlook and approach to work.

Applicants should be experienced operationally and should have a good all-round knowledge of the oil and gas subsea industry and its working practises. Have good experience with offshore construction operations, some of which in a managerial position.

The successful candidate will have proven management skills and a relevant degree or equivalent higher education. As well as being a team leader and team worker with interpersonal and organisational skills. Willingness to travel frequently and work during out-of-office hours is essential. The position requires a person with a flexible attitude towards working in remote area's with the ability to recognise and solve problems.
