Job Description
The person
The right candidate will be educated to MSc/PhD level and will have significant experience in the oil industry (including a number years in a Seismic Reservoir Characterisation team) preferably most of which is gained working within an operating oil company or within an international seismic contractor.
Qualifications
* High level, broad band technical skills in Seismic Reservoir Characterisation (Seismic Inversion technology, Lithology/Fluid prediction, Time Lapse seismic, Rock Physics, Geomodels, )
* Competent in interdisciplinary team work
* Interest in innovative technology detection, development and implementation.
* Real ability to communicate and collaborate across a broad spectrum of nationalities and cultures - both internally (geoscience group, asset teams etc.) and externally (license partners, technology providers, conferences etc.)
* Fluent in both written and spoken English.
Responsibilities
* Carry out Seismic Reservoir Characterisation projects for assets teams within a highly qualified team
* Foster cross-fertilisation and workflow integration between the various surface and sub-surface disciplines.
* Identification of the key technologies and applications that will be required in the future as well as support their development and implementation.
