Job Description
Role
To provide support and direction in the establishment and maintenance of the project Quality Management System (QMS) and undertake monitoring and surveillance activities to confirm its effective implementation.
Responsibilities
Provide advice and guidance to the Project Manager and the project delivery team on all matters of Quality Management.
The development, maintenance and implementation of the project Quality Management System Plan.
Assist in the management of quality risks in accordance with the risk management system.
Facilitate project process owners in establishing their delivery processes and procedures.
Direct a team of competent and experienced quality discipline personnel where established.
Liaise with client and their regulatory bodies (i.e. IVB/ICP) as directed by the Project Manager.
Plan and conduct internal audit activities.
Implement action tracking on Project, and manage corrective action and non-conformance closeout.
Review and endorse all Supplier Concession Requests and participate in the overall Project Change Process.
Provide input and support to the subcontractor/supplier evaluation processes and monitor subcontractor/supplier performance:
Ensure consistent quality input to equipment specifications
Review and endorse Engineering Requisitions
Review and endorse Criticality Rating Calculations
Provide quality input to the technical evaluation
Attend bid clarification and kick-off meetings
Review Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans and identify Witness and Hold points as appropriate
Plan and lead assessment visits/audits to suppliers and sub-contractors as appropriate.
Organise awareness training in the project Quality Management System, procedures and applications as necessary.
Promptly report to corporate any Quality Management problems which cannot be resolved at project level.
Liaise between the Project and the customer on all matters related to Project Quality Management.
Ensure that the necessary Quality Records are identified and retained in accordance with Project, client and regulatory requirements.
Provide quality input to a continuous improvement process, including a process of measuring customer satisfaction.
Provide performance data as requested for reporting purposes and attend Project progress meetings as directed by the Project Manager.
