Job Description
A medium size European Operating company is looking to identify a Lead Process Engineer on an Expat basis to assist the Chief Process Engineer.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
There will be two main areas of responsibilities Functional and Project related:
Functional responsibilities assisting the Chief Process Engineer in:
Identifying discipline competencies training requirements and development options.
Completion of a set of corporate standards and guidelines to provide a basis for assuring the technical quality of deliverables.
Provision of a set of standard Process Engineering tools.
Setting up and maintaining with other disciplines and IT shared data information and Knowledge Management systems to support the discipline technical community.
Identifying the key technologies and applications which the company will require in the future and support their development and implementation via the Corporate Technology & Innovation Department.
Project responsibilities:
Provide Process Engineering input and occasionally leading the Facilities team on projects across a wide variety of projects in the front end up to project sanction spanning different themes e.g. conventional production waterflood EOR HPHT deepwater and heavy oil in various locations e.g. Denmark Qatar UK West Africa GoM Kazakhstan etc
Provide Process Engineering or general Facilities Engineering input to New Business Development related projects such as licence extensions bids farm-ins acquisitions etc
Work on specific projects to convert the engineering concept from field development plans into project specifications contracts etc.
Co-ordinate the development of the overall process safety philosophy for new facility designs in co-operation with other disciplines.
Support projects during project execution with discipline reviews troubleshooting HAZOP audits etc.
Support production and projects during the handover and start-up phases.
Support production with troubleshooting studies etc.
