Our Client:
-A major oil and gas operator is looking for a Lead Process Engineer to join their team
The role:
-To provide process engineering expertise for new project developments from concept selection through to start-up and to provide support for existing plants
-Oversee conceptual studies, FEED and detailed design work
-Understand existing sour gas & NGL production facilities, including performance & process limitations to help optimize plant operation
-Review of Contractors design and start-up and operating procedures for sulphuric acid plant
-Oversee the process engineering element of contractors diagnosis of plant performance
-Contribute to new development projects with advice on conceptual selection of sulphur conversion processes for sour gas
-Responsibility for the flow assurance aspects of the facilities design and operation
Essential skills and qualifications:
-BSc degree or equivalent
-Chartered Engineer
-Experience in an exploration & production Facilities/Development Engineering environment
-Substantial experience of sour gas processing & sulphur technology including sulphuric acid plant design & operation
-Knowledge & experience of high temperature catalytic conversion processes is required, preferably with sulphuric acid plants
-Knowledge & experience with reactor control and process safety protection systems
-Knowledge of standards relating to layers of protection, pressure protection, relief & depressuring systems & instrumented protection systems
-Ability to perform process simulation and calculations to support their evaluations
-Knowledge of fluid flow and flow assurance
