For a client in Qatar we are currently in need for a Lead Piping Engineer.

Responsible for a group of 10 piping engineers and designers in a dedicated design office at one of our major clients and stand in for the lead piping engineer for the 60 man strong piping group during vacation and act as contingency for this position.
Ensure that the work is carried out in a professional manner and in compliance with applicable contracts, Company policies, values and relevant laws and regulations.
Actively monitor work progress such that risks and problem areas are identified, reported and solutions identified early in the project phase.
Act as project engineer for assigned brown field projects.
Plan and execute assigned projects and tasks. Interdisipline coordination with other departments.
Review and approve assigned deliverables produced by other members of the team.
Coordinate and participate in safety related studies.
To issue high quality, cost effective designs and reports in a timely manner.
Preparation/Checking of Piping Material Classes, Specifications and Datasheets.
Participate/Guide the team during Site Visits and Routing studies.
Handle projects independently.
Checking of Equipment and Piping Layouts and Isometrics. Supports selection and checking of support sketches
