Our principle, a leading oil and gas operator in the State of Qatar, is having immediate requirement for:
LEAD OF LNG PORTFOLIO EVALUATION
Reports to: Head of Economic Evaluation
Duration: PERMANENT
Location: Qatar
Start Date: ASAP
Tax Free Salary (A competitive offer will be made depending on experience).
Accommodation, transportation and home leave flights are provided.
1. Basic Function and Scope
Support the development work associated with short & long term economic evaluations & analysis associated with selling LNG in liquid & traditional markets for the entire Qatargas LNG portfolio.
Support the Head of Economic Evaluation with economic evaluations for initiating new projects and/or sales in relation to marketing responsibilities, strategies & procedures.
Support evaluations, analyzing & developing strategies for as per customer requests. Continuously seeking areas to enhance LNG netback value across ventures.
2. Task and Duties
Develop in-house analytical tools for detailed and prompt analysis regarding potential entry into a new spot deal, swaps or diversions.
Support the development of LNG marketing strategies & price formulae, undertaking price analysis in all major factors affecting the marketing policies and proposes to Head of Economic Evaluation for discussing pricing policies, methods & procedures.
Support the Implementation of the Optimization Procedures & coordinate within Marketing as per the Optimization Procedures and process.
Maintain network of contacts in the international gas industry to enable to keep updated on the developments & provide timely updates to the Head of Economic Evaluation.
Develop in-house economic analysis tools to support the marketing strategies for long, medium, short and spot sales opportunities maximizing value from Qatargas ventures assets.
Provide inputs with regards to LNG Pricing and positioning through competitor analysis & market surveys/bench marking.
Support negotiation of the long-term contract to support the expansion plans of Qatargas and the realization of future LNG trains.
Responsible for the support of Company Safety, Environment and Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to his job as spelled out in Management System documentation, policies, & procedures, local documentation, Management System Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents.
3. Work Contracts
Frequent contacts with external Consultants for support of various Marketing agreements economic evaluations.
4. Independence of Operation
Work accomplishments are subject to general review with Head of Economic Evaluation to capture value.
5. Supervisory Responsibility
None but provides coaching to Portfolio Analyst
6. Physical Effort
Minimal
7. Work environment
Normally air-conditioned office environment. Some overseas travel.
8. Minimum Requirements
B.Sc. Degree from a recognized school in an appropriate discipline (Business, Economics and Finance).
At least 6 years professional experience in marketing & business development of the hydrocarbon industry including 3 years in LNG marketing. Negotiated LNG Sales Contracts and proven LNG sales closing transactions.
Well versed in all the LNG Sales Contracts such as Heads of Agreement, Term Sheet, Gas Sales Purchase Agreement, Confidentiality Agreements, Sales & Purchase Agreement for both FOB & Ex-Ship.
Excellent communication & leadership quality.
Ability to develop & present formal presentations to internal, external and Sr. Management groups.
Very good Computer literacy skills.
9. Problem Solving & Job Complexity
Dealing with marketing issues in a multi cultural environment & providing timely information related to the business that leads to customer satisfaction. Good level of coordination is required.
