Our Client:
-A major oil and gas operator is looking for a Lead Electrical & Instrument Engineer to join their team
The role:
-Oversee the E&I element of contractor performance on conceptual studies, FEED and detailed design work
-Monitor progress of the development of electrical equipment and instrumentation design deliverables and propose corrective actions in the event of potential schedule overrun
-Prepare technical and progress reports to support flow of key information to management to assist in decision making
-Establish the process for applying criticality ratings to procured items (relative to the degree of inspection required)
-Participate in peer assists, peer reviews, value improving process workshops and the end-of-stage TAS review as required
-Participate in the procurement process through the evaluation of technical submissions
-Assist with the development of operating manuals and ensure that the manuals relating to electrical equipment and instrumentation are produced in a quality and timely manner
Essential skills and qualifications:
-Degree or equivalent
-Substantial experience of E & I in an exploration and production Facilities/Development environment
-Experience in offshore oil and gas production and processing facilities
-Norwegian experience
-Knowledge of breadth and depth of process engineering and safety, environmental and operational aspects
-Good understanding of E&P surface facilities, an understanding of interface requirements with subsurface disciplines
-Experience in subsea and floating systems is preferred
