Job Title: Lead Contracts and Procurement Engineer Location: Aberdeen Rate/Salary: Negotiable Duration: Ongoing The Company: With interests in over 20 UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) fields, my Client has one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the offshore waters of the UK. The Role: Participate in the establishment of the contracting and procurement processes of the Project, including commercial risk evaluation where required. Assist in the preparation of project contracting and procurement strategies. Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to excellent HSSE performance in support of the Project Managers accountabilities. Compile and assist in the management of ITT packages. Assist in the management of the tendering process, including evaluation processes. Review and finalise contracting documents for the project in co-operation with Asset Legal department. Assist in the negotiation of major contracting packages, in particular in an EPIC environment. Market input for critical services and materials, such as vessels, and long lead, critical materials. Prepare all documentation and processes to allow contract award, in particular for EPIC contracts, where corporate and Partner approval is required. Interface with Partners on any contracting or procurement issues. Monitor and report on contractors contracting and procurement activities. Skills/Qualifications: You will be a technical professional with experience in the oil and gas or petro-chemical industry with knowledge of all phases of major oil and gas projects e.g. FEED, EPC, Commissioning, Start-up etc. Fircroft is a leading provider of technical recruitment solutions to a number of specialist industries, active in over 40 countries worldwide.
