Our Client has a vacancy for a Lead Architectural Technician. This is a contract position, of 6 weeks duration, starting as soon as possible as this is an urgent requirement. You will be based in Darlington.

As Lead Architectural Technician, you will be responsible for the following:
Preparing studies and drawings for Architectural projects.
Leading and administering all Architectural CAD work, on the assigned project.
Ensuring effective and consistent production of drafting deliverables in accordance with architectural specifications and designs.
Preparing general arrangements, elevations, detail drawings and material schedules.
Preparing studies and sketches as directed by the Architect during development of design details.
Checking drafting content of drawings and material schedules.
Production of all drawings in accordance with corporate and project procedures.
Preparing Material Take Offs.
Advising on CAD software issues, promoting best practice.
Attending site meetings and carrying out surveys as required.
Ensure all corporate and project procedures are applied to the drafting work.

Assisting the Lead Architect/Engineer in:
Preparing and updating the detailed programme for performance of design work to meet overall project requirements.
Preparing of Project Control reports.
The multi-discipline co-ordination of the project.

As Lead Architectural Technician, you must fulfil the following criteria:
Highly experienced designer, qualified to HNC level.
Proficient in drafting practice, including CAD and other software, with a background preferably in industrial, process and petrochemical engineering.

The expected rate for this position is approximately 33 GBP per hour.
