Role: Lab Technician Location: Pembroke South Wales Duration: Contract Ongoing Rates: Competitive Our Client We are currently looking to recruit a Lab Technician for one of our Oil & Gas Clients in Pembroke South Wales. The Role Reporting to the Lead Chemist the Lab Technician is responsible for the timely and accurate testing of samples and for working in a manner which targets incident free operation. Key Tasks Ensure incident free operations through the effective use of the loss prevention system Prioritisation of daily testing including validation EPA batch routine test runs and external samples. Timely accurate testing of samples. Self-checking of results. Monitor stock levels of lab supplies and ensure materials are noted for reorder to avoid delaying testing Train other chemists as required trouble shoot lab equipment report instruments breakdown promptly Qualifications / Skills Degree / Diploma in Science or Engineering Strong technical / professional problem solving skills Understanding of lab quality procedures & equipment Ability to perform majority of lab tests.
