Job Description

Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities



  • Leading learning workshops, including lessons capture workshops and knowledge management planning sessions, of varying size groups as needed

  • Coaching and enabling client personnel to ensure that Knowledge Management tools and practices are effectively utilized, specifically including the tools and practices related to lessons capture

  • Conducting gap assessments and working with the client to set meaningful Knowledge Management goals and targets, as needed

  • Support of Communities of Practice / Networks and Question and Answer Forums as needed; including the definition and development of Best Practices

  • Maintenance and administration of centralized lessons capture application, to support lessons capture work for all teams

  • Support of an Internal Yellow Pages as needed 


A Knowledge Management Consultant will in part be assessed by the extent to which:



  • Strong willingness is shown to effectively understand the client's Knowledge Management practices and the application of those practices to specific needs of the client

  • An understanding and awareness of the client's organization, deliverables and knowledge needs is built

  • Involvement in client's Knowledge Management goals and target setting is demonstrated

  • Service delivery is in line with targets set in conjunction with the client's Knowledge Management Authority


Experience & Knowledge 



  • Strong communication and presentation skills.  Experience in meeting facilitation absolutely essential.

  • 5-7 years experience, preferably in a Fortune 500 company.

  • A bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Engineering.  MBA preferred.
