CCL (cclglobal.com) has been requested by a major international oil company to provide an Instrument and Telecom Engineer to work on FPSO / Hull - Instrument / Telecoms systems. Residential position in South-East Asia. Able to travel to various locations worldwide. Contract duration 12 months (renewable) with probable extension available. Attractive daily rate / T&Cs. Well educated with degree in engineering / equivalent preferably with Chartered / Professional Engineer status. Other skills: audits; team work; communication; and organisation. Must be fluent in English (written and spoken). 10 years of experience in petroleum / offshore industry and at least 5 years: Instrument / DCS with good telecom skills. Duties include: Monitoring contractor activities related to instrument and telecoms; Following-up procurement, construction and expediting FATs for discipline related activities; Anticipating problems; Liaising with other disciplines to ensure compliance; Commenting on contractor documents: instrument data sheets, instrument database instrument hook-up drawings, I/O wiring diagrams, instrument specifications, ESD logic diagrams, F&G cause and effect diagrams; Following-up of Vendors Package UCPs (design specifications including hardware and software (with particular attention to PLC logic definition & communication interfaces with the ICSS); Following-up of construction, to ensure construction yard follows classification rules / project specifications.
