Job Description
Our client is a leading global provider of engineering and construction services technology products and integrated solutions. The business within the company comprises several industries including Oil & Gas Refining & Chemicals Mining & Metals and Power Generation.
Due to an increase in workload they now require a skilled Instrument Engineer to work in the demanding engineering environment of an onshore refinery based in Pembroke West Wales. The purpose of the role is to lead functional input to small projects or carry out engineering tasks as part of a larger project team.
You will be required to have a demonstrable background in both engineering and commissioning as the role is split between office based activities and site based commissioning at the clients site.
Within the office you will plan and prioritise your own work and that of others including specifying and procuring equipment to meet client requirements carrying out engineering calculations and checking work of more junior engineers. You will have the ability to recognise and address potential and actual cross-discipline issues and conflicts so that overall engineering input to a project is coherent. Site based activities include carrying out commissioning activities at the clients site as required to ensure successful engineering handover.
The role allows you the opportunity to develop your own engineering experience and skills moving towards having the capability to step up to a more senior role and then onto attaining a professional qualification.
You will hold an Instrumentation & Control Engineering Degree and possess relevant experience in project design work however training will be provided if required. You will also have the ability to work in a team environment.
