Job Description
Our client a leading international subsea engineering contractor is now looking for the following candidates to join their Surrey Office.

Installation & Structural Design & Analysis Engineers (Contract or Perm)

Our client's south west London operation, are looking to strengthen their team by the addition of Analysis Engineers with a strong background in either subsea structure design or installation analysis.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsible for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to DO, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, CTR input, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions.
Originate or check technical documentation, accepting personal responsibility for its adequacy.
Ensure all relevant safety objectives, legislative and legal requirements are observed.
Design and detailing in accordance with acknowledged industry Codes, Standards and Design Guides; Client Specifications and Scopes of Work.
Train / mentor more junior engineers.
Recognise and accept HSE Roles & Responsibilities as defined in DOC-GL-HSE-001

Discipline-specific Roles & Responsibilities:

Contribute to planning, detailing and reviewing of technical documentation relating to subsea pipelines' construction and installation.
Undertake FE analysis, design and engineering activities associated with subsea construction and installation.
Production of design calculations for pipelines, spool pieces, tie ins, risers and umbilicals.
Design and detailing in accordance with acknowledged industry Codes, Standards and Design Guides (e.g. DNV, BS, API,); Client Specifications and Scopes of Work.
Production of design documentation including feasibility reports, detailed design reports, construction drawings, design specifications, material take-offs, weight control calculations, etc.
Be aware of associated subsea related disciplines and understand the interfaces within a project environment.
Provide technical engineering support to other departments within the Central Engineering Group, the Project Engineering Group, and to colleagues in terms of training and mentoring.
Further develop a working knowledge of relevant pipeline analysis and design software.
Contribute as required to events such as Bid Clarifications, Kickoff meetings, HIRAs, Design Reviews, etc.


Qualifications and Education
General Education:
University graduate in a relevant discipline. MSc preferred.

Experience:
Previous subsea design and analysis background
Software experience; Abaqus, Orcaflex, or Ansys experience preferred.
