Inspection Engineer job in UK
Brief Overview of the position
Recognized BSc. Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgy Engineering
With experience as integrity inspection or corrosion engineer of at least 12 years covering oil and gas industry Static Equipment integrity management through the application of risk-based inspection and reliabilitiy techniques.
With strong analytical capability
Fully conversant with Ms Office SAP and with proficiency in written and spoken English
With good knowledge of selection of materials and corrosion control strategies
Capable of troubleshooting and analysing static equipment performance and identify equipment performing outside the operating envelope and / or design intent and and advise on appropriate action to unsure plant integrity and capable of providing advice in the field of faliure analysis
Knowledgable about the identification and classification of various types of damage/degradation mechanisms and be capable of discerning acceptable conditions
Experience in the application of fitness for purpose and the Remain Life Assessment techniques. Conversant with API RP 579 and 571
Will provide advise on welding processes and conversant with NDT/NDE methods and procedures and qualified as ASNT / PCN level II and CSWIP3.2
Certified API or ASME vessels and piping inspector with ability to carry out visual and boroscopic inspection
With appreciation of turnaround planning and the development and application of quality management systems
Will act as a focal point in applying risk based inspection methodologies do develop plan implement and execute detailed inspection work scopes that are based on applicable international standards with the companys EHS policy and guidelines.
Will be responsible to prepare inspection work list for plant turnarounds and ensure effective shutdown execution by developing strategies
Will Act as Authorized Inspector for examinations will inspect fired/unfired pressure equipment -heaters/columns/vessels/heat exchangers/ piping systems/storage tanks
Will ensure that the inspection database is updated according to the latest standards and the inspection documentation and data is kept up-to-date in the SAP system
