Swift Worldwide Resources is looking on behalf of our client for an Infrastructure Consultant to be based in London / Kampala which is on a permanent contract. Successful candidates must have:-

*Primary degree in a relevant engineering or similar discipline
*15 - 20 years in an infrastructure background
*Experience in oil & gas industry desirable but not essential
*Demonstrable, project lead responsibility including for significant $500mn work
*Developed management and interpersonal skills with the capability to lead a cross functional team
*Awareness and sensitivity to multinational exposures and cultures
*Excellent verbal, written and aural communication skills
*Able to work effectively as part of a team
*Ability to work on own initiative
*Takes a proactive approach
*Ability to take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion

Main Responsibilities:-

*Primary role is to prepare an overall "Infrastructure Development Plan". This will identify upgrade and/or new build requirements for all essential roads, rail, airports, ports, harbours and other key aspects of urban infrastructure to support the commercialisation of the Lake Albert Basin.
*Priority Infrastructure projects - such as roads and airports - will be developed in terms of work scope and execution plan such that discrete projects can be presented to GoU for funding and delivery by others.
*Coordinate and monitor the work of consultant and contractors during the definition stage of all infrastructure projects.
*Lead discussions internally and externally on possible finance options for infrastructure projects.
*Liaise with GoU on all aspects of required infrastructure projects related to and required for the development of oil & gas facilities. Manage relationships with government departments, NGO's and all other key stakeholders
*Lead study teams comprising clients personnel and external consultants to develop concepts and alternatives for various infrastructure projects
*Adhere to clients EHS policies and standards
*Develop execution / contracting / financing strategies to complete projects in required timeline and to stakeholder expectations
*Oversee execution of projects (by others) including interfaces with clients EHS, Facilities, Construction and Operations teams
*Manage all interfaces with relevant government departments, private companies and partners with respect to Infrastructure Development
*Ensure that the reporting requirements to all internal and external stakeholders are met accurately and in a timely manner
*Effectively communicate with Senior Management Team.
