Our Client has a vacancy for an IT Business Analyst, based in Aberdeen. This is a contract position.

As IT Business Analyst, your responsibilities will include the following:
Translate business needs/strategies into IT requirements and source IT services to meet requirements (current and future).
Understand business processes end-to-end, actively measuring business contribution of enabling systems, and initiate improvement to the process and/or systems
Work with Service Managers to ensure services meet business needs.
Provide projected demand for services to the Service Managers.
Understand and communicate to the business both the costs and value of services provided.
Owner of software lifecycle management process for their customer group(s) (nomination, investigation, approval, acquisition, installation, operations and disposition of software) to ensure optimal business application portfolio.
Perform front-end-loading (FEL), business case development, present to Business and IT management for approval and, where appropriate, lead projects.
Review the range of existing solutions available and present options and recommendations to the business on which ones to use.
Work with business-unit-specific vendors and industry groups.
Influence customer demand.

Critical Skills:
Geoscience or Reservoir Engineering degree, B.Sc. or M.Sc. or comparable education. Non-geoscience/reservoir engineering education may be compensated with documented relevant experience.
