An exciting new position has been created for a HyMech Controls Proposal Engineer.
Responsibilities to include:
Provide front end engineering support for the service of installed Production Control System (PCS) equipment and provide options for customers on refurbishment/repair of products.
Liaises with Commercial Operations, Product and Sales functions during the pursuit and bid phases of a tender.
Minimizes risk to Health, Safety and Environmental impact as a result of the design, manufacture and operation of equipment.
Establishes customer and market requirements.
Shall optimize the selection of products to minimise the impact on supply chain and manufacturing process to enable profitable execution.
Provide accurate and validated Technical Proposals and an understanding of commercial impact.
Has the confidence and ability to directly negotiate alternative solutions with internal and external customers and can quickly analyse the commercial consequences of making such decisions.
Presents solutions in a form capable of ready interpretation by Internal and External customers at tender pursuit and execution phases
Prepares and updates technical qualification and risk registers
Ensures sub-contract technical risk is managed in line with Procedures
Collates and prepares preliminary and full Master Equipment Lists
Build effective relationships with customers
Support the rest of the ITO team with Proposal engineering tasks and understanding such that the solution is competitive and preferred by the client.
Review/disposition survey reports.
Establish repair practices and engineering repair workscopes.
Adhere to and meet Engineering work schedules.
Provide field support as required.
To pursue this position you will have strong knowledge of direct and in-direct hydraulic control systems. Knowledge of engineering design theory and manufacturing techniques. A good understanding of internal sales and commercial functions within an organization.
