HR Assistant
Uxbridge
Contract - 6 months renewable
Our client is among the largest independent oil and natural gas exploration and production companies in the world, with approximately 2.3 billion barrels of oil equivalent (BBOE) of proved reserves at year-end 2009.
Our client's portfolio of assets encompasses premier positions in nearly a dozen major U.S. onshore natural gas resource plays. The company also is a premier deepwater producer in the Gulf of Mexico, and has production and/or exploration in Alaska, Algeria, Brazil, China, Indonesia, East and West Africa.
• Support recruitment activity of the HR Advisors for staff and contract positions in Uxbridge, Algeria and for all El Merk EPC locations: UAE, Italy
• Prepare agency service orders for new hires and renewals and monitor the return of same
• Coordinate pre-assignment formalities for assignees (including medicals)
• Collate and submit the necessary work permit documentation for new staff assigned to Algeria. Monitor progress of same.
• Provide administrative support to HR Advisors and expatriates with regard to international transfers / relocation and repatriation across operating locations.
• Reconcile employee/contractor mobility and personal information for the El Merk Project and update/maintain
• Generate HR reports and maintain process trackers to ensure high standards of data integrity
• Ensure all HR records/documentation are updated on a regular basis and managed with confidentiality.
• Invoice tracking, coding and filing.
Qualifications:
The candidate should possess strong Administrative skills and have completed or be working towards a HR degree and/or post graduate diploma.
Required Experience:
• Experience in HR in a fast moving dynamic organisation with international operations
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office systems, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• Some experience within the oil and gas industry would be an advantage
Additional skill sets/experience:
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organisational skills
• French or Italian language an advantage
