Our principle a leading oil and gas operator in the State of Qatar has an immediate requirement for:

HEad of Events

Contract Duration: Long term Annually renewable

Location: Qatar Doha /; Ras Laffan

Roster: 5 Days 8 Hours a day

Start Date: ASAP

Role Summary:

As the Head of Events you will head up a small events team to make sure that a diverse range of events are delivered and developed to be a great success. These events include a gala dinners mass participation fundraising events and some annual awareness events etc.

Role Responsibilities:

Managing the event budget

Putting together a project plan

Being involved with the content and theme of the events

Working closely with their event agency partner for larger events

Sourcing the venue and suppliers

Negotiating rates and contracts

Project managing the event right through to on-site delivery

Post event reconciliation

Special Considerations:

Work will be performed in a wide range of settings including within the companys premises and other areas. Work can be irregular and unpredictable and can be stressful at times.

Qualifications and Experience:

A Masters or Bachelors Degree in Communications or Media related.

5 10 years minimum experience in the organization and event operation at a senior level.

This appointment will suit a charismatic confident professional senior manager who has progressed through the ranks of the hospitality and event business. You will have sound operational knowledge and have delivered the service of successful events throughout your career. You will also have an effective network of contacts that operate in this market.
