Global Deepwater Technical Specialist


An international operating company with a global portfolio of diverse projects are looking to identify a Global Deepwater Technical Specialist to sit within the company's corporate head office, tasked with establishing the company's foundations within the deepwater arena.

This company are rapidly moving further into deepwater environments, the Global Deepwater Technical Specialist will be responsible for establishing the technical foundations for these deepwater drilling projects, writing the necessary technical procedures, manuals and guidelines to support their global deepwater well engineering operations.
You will also be responsible for supporting the global deepwater drilling operations, advising the company's business units on improvements which can be made to operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing all lessons learnt in deepwater areas & sharing these will all business units and educating & mentoring younger deepwater drilling engineers.
You will be the global technical authority for this international operating company across all of their current deepwater locations and will be an integral part of their future deepwater projects.


The ideal candidate will have significant experience within the drilling industry with a pedigree of many years experience within deepwater operations.
They will most likely come from a technical deepwater drilling engineering or completion engineering background with excellent personal skills including the ability to interact with other disciplines, motivate people, being a good team player and naturally good communication skills.

Bachelors Degree or equivalent
