Position: Generic Design Assessment Lead

Salary: Package Negotiable

Job Purpose

To co-ordinate and lead the transition of the Generic Design Assessment (GDA) into Nuclear New Build (NNB). This will require establishing close co-operation across NNB in support of resolution of GDA issues and transfer of responsibility of these issues from GDA into NNB. In addition, it will be necessary to maintain close links and support the Regulatory commitments tracking team

Key Accountabilities

1. Manage the NNB work in support of the GDA process and provide a single point of contact within NNB for the GDA process

2. Ensure that GDA commitments are appropriately recorded in the Regulatory commitment tracking system

3. Work in close co-operation with all areas of NNB to provide support to the GDA process

4. Work in close co-operation with all parties to support to the GDA process

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Qualifications and Experience

• Typically degree qualified in a related discipline

• Ability to manage internal and contract staff is desirable

• Good experience within the Nuclear Industry

• Experience with UK Regulators

• Safety case experience

Technical and Commercial Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of safety case issues and processes

• Excellent influencing skills

• Excellent organisational skills

• Understanding the needs of quality

• Knowledge of budget monitoring and commercial awareness

• Excellent communication skills
