Job Description

Our client is a major Oil & Gas exploration and production company. They are currently looking to recruit a Flawless Project Delivery / Completions Engineer basedin Oman.


As Flawless Project Delivery / Completions Engineer you will be responsible for co-coordinating all activities to ensure that the project meets its obligations allowing startup first time on time and on budget with an admiral HSE record and to interface with the project management team to ensure that all areas of the project contribute to these goals.


Your main responsibilities will be:



  • To ensure that they fully comply with all Project HSE requirements

  • Develop the FPD Strategy so as to deliver visible improvements to the Design Construction and Commissioning Start-up Phases

  • Develop the Commissioning to Operations Completion Handover systems. Execute the systems in the field

  • Promote health safety and environmental awareness through inductions training inspection and promotions

  • Educate and Coach Project personnel on FPD and expectations

  • Develop FPD KPIs and report out to Project Management monthly

  • Develop System Handover tracking tool and own in field

  • Coach Operations Personnel as to how to do System Handovers and expectations line walks punch lists documentation.

  • Own the FPD aspects of the OR&A Plan

  • Plan Schedule & Organize FPD Events e.g. Visits Workshops Meetings Health Checks etc. & to ensure the relevant people are available

  • To develop Q Captains and track implementation of their Assurance Plans

  • Influence commissioning to deliver timely RFO Ready for Operations

  • Engage in the implementation of the HSE-MS within the Project

  • Contribute to the development of the Document handover package at RFO

  • Interface with Construction so as to drive MC to fit the agreed Commissioning plan

  • Ensure all compliance documentation is handed over to Operations

  • Ensure that performance standards of Safety Critical Elements have been demonstrated during commissioning along with appropriate witness points - thus demonstrating Technical Integrity

  • Participate in After Action Review so as to capture future project learnings

  • Help develop an ingrained Safety culture by contributing to the STOP proactive safety system


Qualifications and experience required:



  • Experienced Operations Professional with secondary and preferably tertiary technical education post high school level

  • Extensive experience in Project / Facilities / Construction Engineering or Operations work

  • Good inter-personal communications influencing and presentation skills are essential

  • Team player

  • Excellent inter-personal and leadership skills with good communications skills i.e. report writing and presentations are essential

  • Working under pressure in challenging environment

  • Ability to successfully manage relationships with key stakeholders


This is a contract position.


The salary for this position is negotiable.
