Facilities Engineer job in UK
Based in Aberdeen our client is a leading engineering contractor provinding services to the oil and gas industry.
They are currently looking to recruit a Facilities Engineer.
Facilities Engineer - Integrity
Roles & Responsibilities
Accountable for:-
Safety Leadership/coordination of personnel (staff & contractors) by setting an example of expected processes, standards & behaviour
Compliance with Asset Integrity Assurance Framework with respect to engineering & management processes
Coordination & delivery of the Engineering Asset Integrity Plan, in conjunction with the relevant TA's/action parties, while ensuring that the Engineering Asset Integrity Plan is fully integrated to the project Asset Plan. (N.B. Some scopes will require the development of a detailed work programmes and the involvement of appointed of 3rd party contractors, while others may be relatively easy to achieve, utilising core resources.)
Coordinating/managing/controlling the planning & delivery of all scopes of work required of the project Asset Facilities Engineering Team,, ensuring they are estimated, brought forward for approval, & are successfully implement in accordance with plan..
Management & coordination of Offshore Construction manpower & programme, including organising additional onshore support where required.
Coordination & input to the various reports required either regularly or on a one off basis.
Responsible for:
SHE
Setting an example of safe actions and behaviours to discipline personnel (staff & contractors)
Provide emergency support to platform, especially with respect to supporting construction
Providing input to SHE improvement Plan
Quality
Discipline aspects of / input to
Quality of engineering management processes & systems
Application of integrity assurance processes/procedures as appropriate
Timely completion of actions arising from management system
Standard of discipline engineering work (Staff & contractors)
Strategy
Assuring compliance with engineering management processes & systems
Coordination & delivery of SOR's/BOD's, including cost estimates for asset improvement
Assistance with introduction of innovation & best practice in facilities engineering
Performance
Management of elements of the engineering budget as delegated
Providing key input/coordination assistance to the overall asset planning process
Coordinating the delivery of Facilities Engineering work scopes to agreed plan
Coordination & review of mullti-discipline activities
Compliance with engineering management processes & systems
Ownership of delegated Asset Integrity engineering management processes & systems
Ownership & management of Asset Integrity Risk issues as assigned
Improvement
Providing input & assistance with development & implementation of
Engineering management processes & systems
Engineering audit programmes & in the successful close-out of any actions arising
Workforce environment & Communication
Assistance with structured communication & engagement of Technical Integrity group, operations personnel (on & offshore), client and other interested parties regarding forth coming programmes and plans
Coaching of subordinates & contractors
Establish and support best cultural & behavioural standards within engineering team

To manage areas of engineering budget, where assigned
