Qualifications/Training

Essential:

• HND / HNC in engineering discipline.

Or

Demonstrable experience of engineering & construction from both an onshore & offshore
perspective

• Computer literate
Desirable:

• Broad experience & hence familiar with multidiscipline engineering & fabric maintenance
• Undergo Offshore survival training
• Pass an offshore medical


Experience

Essential:

• Managing personnel both core and contractor
• Delivering multi-disciplined program of fabric maintenance repairs
• Interfacing with onshore & offshore operations, maintenance & engineering personnel
• Developing technical scopes & monitoring the activities of others, including 3rd parties
• Managing a variety of scopes in parallel& ensuring delivery on-time & within budget
• Risk management process & practices
• Working in the offshore Oil & gas industry, preferably in an engineering operations environment
• Knowledge/awareness/working experience of risk management

Desirable:

• Experienced in interfacing with client/partners, stakeholders
• Experienced in interfacing with the HSE
• Experience of offshore operations environment
• Experience in a discipline engineering design discipline

Likely Current Role:

• Senior Project Engineer preferably in a fabric maintenance or similar project engineering.
To coordinate & manage the Fabric Maintenance work undertaken by specialist Fabric Maintenance contractors and platform core team. Ensure delivery of Fabric Maintenance execution plan within budget, and in accordance with Technical Authorities instruction. Manage potential for growth scope, provide reports to management on project progress, and any risks to project completion.

Responsibilities

Responsible to the Maintenance Manager to manage & coordinate the efforts of the Fabric Maintenance contractors, and offshore construction teams in support of FM delivery. Also responsible for ensuring that all assigned scopes relating to Fabric Maintenance are planned, managed, coordinated, delivered in time & within budget.

Areas of responsibility include:

• Coordinating FM surveys in conjunction with Corrosion, Structural and Piping Technical Authorities.

• Define technical scopes for 3rd party contractors to undertake Fabric Maintenance repairs

• Managing & controlling 3rd party FM contractor during the execution of their scopes, ensuring delivery within schedule, budget

• Providing project progress reports to asset management.

• Manage & coordinate FM scopes undertaken by Duty Holder/Operator, ensuring delivery within schedule, budget

• Providing key input & assistance to developing & in reporting progress against the operational & other relevant plans & reports

• Developing a close working relationship with the other members of the operations team to ensure taht technical requirements are fully understood, communicated to all relevant parties & are fully satisfied

• Proactively demonstrating leadership & promoting SHE & Quality on all areas under his/her direct control or influence

• Ensuring effective, coordinated & timely reporting to line management, client & stakeholders for FM scope delivery.

• Ensuring effective management of change in accordance with Dunlin Ops processes & procedures.

• Ensuring that standards & processes are applied & where required assisting with their development.

• To identify opportunities & new techniques to complete fabric maintenance under budget and/or within reduced timescales.

• To optimise the fabric maintenance campaigns such that priorities are established, and work coordinated to make best use of platform beds and resources.

• To manage the deferment of any fabric maintenance in compliance with process and ensure existing or future risks are adequately assessed and mitigated.
