Job Description
Our client is a marine Consultancy, part of a large international group, with an impressive record of past projects the groups capabilities include floating systems, offshore pipelines and subsea production systems. They are now looking for FEA Specialists for their Perth Australia office. Staff only.
Candidates will be degree qualified in engineering discipline with a strong background in finite element (FE) modelling and application, ideally in the design and analysis of pipelines, risers or subsea structures and components. A strong Abaqus FE analysis software background is essential. Knowledge of Autopipe, Flexcom or Orcaflex will be an advantage.
The candidate will be responsible for providing input and solutions to the project teams in a technical specialist environment, and ensuring technical integrity of analysis work. Good communication and IT skills are essential.
Technical /Professional Expertise
Offshore pipeline and riser engineering
Finite element theory and application
Structural mechanics and numerical analysis
Good understanding of design codes from API, DNV, BS, ISO among others
Involvement in EPIC projects
Salary packages with our Perth client are comparable/better than the UK. The company also operates a formal bonus scheme for all staff employees.
