Job Description
Our London based Subsea client is now looking to fill the following vacancy -
Function Finite Element Analyst - Pipeline Engineer
London
Contract or Staff
The role:
Performing Structural and thermal FE analysis of pipelines and subsea
structures with Abaqus
Should be Capable of performing finite element modelling of different
pipeline analyses such as:
On bottom stability of pipelines
lateral buckling, upheaval buckling,
walking and fatigue of pipelines
Free spans and VIV assessment
3D solid modelling (optional)
Summary of Experience required -
Finite element modelling 2D & 3D
Familiarity with FE software.
Experience with analysis of oil and gas pipelines - subsea
and onshore.
Finite element analyses using Abaqus on desktop
machines.
General pipeline analysis techniques.
Explaining and reporting results.
Knowledge of pipeline installation techniques.
Knowledge of pipeline materials, insulation methods,
composite pipe types.
Qualifications
Required
BSc
MSc or PhD in FE related subject
desirable.
