Job Title: Expeditor/Buyer Location: Aberdeen Rate/Salary: Neg Duration: Temporary The Company: Our Client is a major contractor providing consultancy engineering and project management services to the worlds energy power and process industries. They are the leading Contracting Company to the Oil and Gas Industry in the UK. Progress and manage the delivery of all assigned project equipment and materials. Purchasing of project materials. Secure the deliver of all assigned project materials and equipment. Purchase designated equipment and materials inline with project timescales in accordance with project procedures. Assisting with the development of procurement strategy S&P Plans Compiling and issuing enquiries to the market place Negotiating price and commercial terms achieving demonstrable value in the procurement of equipment and materials Placing purchase orders for the supply of materials and equipment Liasing effectively and fostering relationships with suppliers and clients Closing out purchase orders files and archiving documents Interface with suppliers for progressing materials equipment and documentation Achieve delivery of equipment materials and documentation on time Work closely with Materials Controllers regarding receipts at project warehouse Work closely with appointed field expeditors Raising and issuing MMTs Qualifications/Training Essential: 3 Highers or good standard education Desirable: Procurement SVQ Level II SAP Systems PaMMs Systems Essential: Buyer/Expeditor with proven experience in Oil and Gas projects Able to place Purchase Orders for engineering equipment and materials Good degree of computer literacy and use of procurement systems such as PaMMs and SAP Fircroft is a leading provider of technical recruitment solutions to a number of specialist industries active in over 40 countries worldwide.
