Job Description
Our Client is looking for an Estimator - Civil. This is a permanent position based in Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities:
Preparing tender prices from studying project drawings, designs and bills of quantities.
Analyzing and compiling data on construction factors, such as labour, materials, special machinery requirements, and site location.
Performing site visits and gathering necessary information such as site accessibility, availability of electricity and services.
Preparing a cost summary for the entire project, including the costs of materials, equipment, labor, taxes, insurance, and any other costs affecting the project.
Developing accurate and clear cost estimates based on project data and communicating those estimates with engineers and concerned staff.
Maintaining a construction cost database for forecasting project costs and ensuring that construction costs are managed as efficiently as possible.
Performing costs analysis; preparing and analyzing costing for tenders to assist in anticipating project costs.
Monitoring and storing costs through the use of computers to improve the accuracy of future estimations
Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs for projects in addition to negotiating and prepare bids for tenders and contracts.
Prepareing value engineering, alternatives and proposals to be submitted to clients.
Search always for more comprehensive alternatives without sacrificing quality.
Preparing periodic reports with respect to the department's activities and achievements to be submitted to the Senior Estimator.
Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the Senior Estimator.
Candidates should have:
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering.
Extensive experience in cost estimating practices.
Professional knowledge in cost analysis and construction methods and procedures.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning and organising skills.
Reporting and technical writing skills.
Strong analytical skills.
The salary for this role is $2000 - $3000 USD per month.
