Job Description
Our Client has a vacancy for an Estimator (Civil and Architectural). This is a permanent position, based in Saudi Arabia.
As Estimator (Civil and Architectural), your responsibilities will include the following:
Participating in preparing tender prices and costs from drawings and designs and detailing all materials necessary to achieve required specifications and calculating cost estimates for projects, in addition to compiling and analyzing data that influence cost estimates.
Training courses in cost analysis and Quantity Surveying.
Professional knowledge in cost analysis.
Professional knowledge in construction methods and procedures.
Preparing tender prices from studying project's drawings and designs and bills of quantities.
Analyzing and compiling data on construction factors, such as labor, materials, special machinery requirements, and site location.
Performing site visits and gathering necessary information such as site accessibility, availability of electricity and services.
Preparing a cost summary for the entire project, this includes the costs of materials, equipment, labor, taxes, insurance, and any other costs affecting the project.
Developing accurate and clear cost estimates based on project data and communicating those estimates with engineers and concerned staff.
Maintaining a construction cost database for future reference.
Forecasting project costs and ensuring that construction costs are managed as efficiently as possible.
Performing costs analysis; preparing and analyzing costing for tenders to assist in anticipating project costs.
Monitoring and storing costs through the use of computers to improve the accuracy of future estimations this is sometimes integrated with the quantity surveying activities.
Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs for projects in addition to negotiating and prepare bids for tenders and contracts.
Preparing periodic reports with respect to the department's activities and achievements to be submitted to the Senior Estimator.
Qualifications and experience required for this role:
B.E.. in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
Substantial experience in cost estimating practices.
The salary for this role is $2000 to $3000 USD per month.
