Date needed: ASAP but no later than 1 August 2010 General Scope: Support client activities from Environmental/Socioeconomic/Health and Regulatory (E&R) perspective. Assignment Location: Dubai, UAE with frequent trips into Iraq Detailed Scope: Environmental Represent E&R at Dubai/Iraq EWP Team meetings including seismic/drilling/well work, camps/infrastructure, and facilities. Participate with EWP teams for site selection in field (or make arrangements for separate SME(s) to participate) considering baseline environmental, socioeconomic and health aspects including archaeology and existing contamination Document site selection alternatives and reason for selecting final site including environmental, socioeconomic and health perspective Assist Houston E&R Team in defining environmental, socioeconomic and health impacts of EWP activities Assist Houston E&R Team in recommendations for environmental, socioeconomic and health mitigations for the defined impacts including existing contamination remediation Assist Houston E&R Team reconcile recommended environmental, socioeconomic and health mitigations with EWP teams Assist Houston E&R Team to document reconciled environmental, socioeconomic and health mitigations in a fit for purpose Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan. Assist Houston E&R Team review with EWP teams and management to obtain their endorsement Assist Houston E&R Team prepare a field monitoring manual and train the environmental, socioeconomic and health field monitors to effectively use it to perform their duties Assist E&R Field Manager and staff to steward environmental, socioeconomic and health performance vs EMMP and take corrective actions as needed Regulatory Provide regulatory consultation and support to EWP teams in Dubai/Iraq Receive guidance in regulatory aspects from client Regulatory Advisor Assist Dubai/Iraq E&R Approvals Manager and EWP Dubai/Iraq teams obtain needed permits to achieve scheduled activities
