Project; - Goliat
one of the key deals for the Goliat project, includes detailed engineering for the process topsides on the Goliat floater hull, plus the utility modules, flare boom and hull interface engineering.
The Goliat field is located on the Norwegian Continental shelf in the Barents Sea 85km North West of Hammerfest in a water depth of approximately 400 metres. Eni have opted to develop this with a cylindrical Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit based on the Sevan Marine concept.
The FPSO consists of approximately 22,500 tonnes of topsides on top of a 29,000 tonnes hull. The topsides facilities are capable of producing 100,000 barrels of oil per day and comprise of process, utilities and quarters areas. The LQ has accommodation for 120 people and incorporates a helideck. There are also two 55 tonnes SWL cranes and a flare tower together with a 3-storey blast wall that separates the process and utility areas. The FPSO has a diameter of 107m at the process deck and the height from the bottom of the hull to the helideck is 75m. The field is north of the Arctic Circle so snow, ice and thermal loads will be an important part of the design and the topsides will be fully winterised. The design temperature ranges from -20 to 25 C. All design will be performed in accordance with the NPD rules and NORSOK codes.
The main contractor is Hyundai and CB&Is contract is for FEED verification and detailed design of the topsides.
