Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible for providing technical and Engineering advise to support all sites with activities such:
• Onshore impact monitoring including
• Onshore impact monitoring programmes
• Onshore impact monitoring reports
• Air emissions monitoring & sampling
• Water discharges monitoring & sampling
• Ground water monitoring & sampling
• Soil monitoring & sampling
• Solid waste management

When required support to:
• Compliance monitoring including
• Compliance monitoring programmes
• Compliance monitoring reports
• Air emissions monitoring & sampling
• Water discharges monitoring & sampling
• Ground water monitoring & sampling
• Solid waste management

• Environmental statutory reporting including
• Reporting to environmental authorities
• Reporting to statistical authorities
• Reporting to financial environmental authorities
• Assistance to Head of Environmental Engineering on running the performance monitoring database e.g. Promasys

• Environmental Auditing
• Input to Environmental Impact Assessments and Technical Project Documentation
• Input to Construction Project documentation
• Input to public hearings and events
• Liaison with Emergency response team with respect to Oil spill response issues

Qualifications & Experience:
The job holder must have :
• BSc in an Engineering or Scientific discipline Chemical Mechanical Geographical etc.
• 7 years experience working on Environmental Engineering related activities
• Solid technical experience/interest in waste management and environmental monitoring
• The job holder will be required to complete ROK Safety Knowledge Assessment SKA Blue Book within one month of taking up the position

Advantageous Qualifications/Experience
• Knowledge of licensing and permitting procedures within the RoK
• Knowledge of the Russian Language.
Required Competencies:
The job holder must have proven:
• Knowledge of RoK environmental legislation
• Computer literate on Microsoft programmes Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Project GIS Performance Monitoring
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to work in a multicultural multinational team
• Excellent public presentation skills
