Environment Field Supervisor - 64087 job in Nigeria
Our Client has a vacancy for an Environment Field Supervisor. This is a contract position, based in Nigeria.
As Environment Field Supervisor, you will manage and coordinate all facets of environment management for pipeline installation.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Review EIA and follow-up enforcement of EIA by EPSCC Contractor.
Review and comment Contractor's Environment Plan and Manual.
Ensure EPSCC contractor carries out is environmental base line survey in accordance with applicable procedures and project objectives.
Ensure that a specific environmental impact assessment is properly carried out for each Contractor's activity.
Ensure that Contractor implement a waste management plan in accordance with applicable specifications and in-country regulations.
Ensure that Contractor manages water disposal during hydro-test in accordance with approved procedures and statutory regulations.
Ensure that Contractor's develop and maintain environmental awareness policy and no harm to environment culture through its working teams.
Act as focal point under Project Management supervision with environment related local authorities (Ministry Of Environment, National Inlands Waterways Authority).
Ensure that Contractor's construction equipment meets environmental standards, that spill response programme is enforced and that emission control plan is applied.
Monitor EPSCC contractor Works final reinstatement activity to meet environmental print objectives.
Monitor and record environmental activities of the project, and assist HSE coordinator in presentations and preparation of related report.
Collect and report environmental data and statistics.
Proceed with environmental audit on EPSCC contractor organization.
Ensure that Project Personnel is adequate competent, trained and briefed to execute assignments.
Required Competence:
Substantial experience as an Environmental Engineer with onshore construction project (pipeline experience is a must).
Experience of works under ISO 14000 standards.
Strong reporting and organization skills.
Fluent in English language, French is a plus.
Good oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate efficiently.
Autonomous self motivating but active player.
Hand on PC Programs (Word/Excel) etc.
