Our client is an international energy services company operating in engineering & production facilities, well support and gas turbine services. Employing over 28,000 personnel worldwide they operate in 50 countries. They are currently looking to recruit an Engineering Manager based in Trinidad.

As Engineering Manager your main responsibilities will include:

• Responsibility for the engineering function within the project group of the company, providing competent engineering and design resources to contracts/projects in Trinidad


• Promotion and monitoring of the Technical Assurance, HSSE and QA/QC of the Engineering deliverables in all areas of companyÃÂÂs activities


• Responsibility for the Engineering Function Organisation and Administration


• Defining and monitoring the Technical Assurance of the Engineering and Design services and deliverables supplied by the company


• Providing technical and procedural guidance and support for Engineering and Design staff


• Co-ordination of Engineering input to proposals


• Identifying and fulfilling the requirements for project assignments for Engineering and Design personnel


• Ensuring that Engineering is adequately represented and contributes to activities where operations and maintenance are required


• Managing the technological development in the Engineering Function and ensure the means of support to new technologies introduced is maintained


• Maintaining an overview of all Project work, by regular contact with Project Managers and Team members


• Ensuring the communication of best practice and experience from previous projects is provided to the company personnel


• Ensuring that work is carried out effectively and without risk exposure of the company or client


• Promotion of the safety culture within project design team


• Provision of support and advice to management in developing appropriate engineering, contracting and fabrication strategies for future projects

Qualifications and experience required:

Our clients are looking for someone with considerable experience in the contracting oil and gas industry who, having direct experience in a supervisory position within the UKCS Brownfield engineering environment will be knowledgeable in engineering management.

The candidate will be degree qualified in a relevant discipline, preferably with chartered status. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential as is the ability to create effective working relationships between contract and the function. The personality and drive to effectively action performance improvement across the company is essential, as is the ability to asses a wide variety of professional candidates for suitability to positions.

This is aàpermanent position.

The salary for this position is negotiable.
