A world leading oil & gas engineering company has an opening for an Engineering Manager to work in their offshore department.
Job Responsibilities
The role will involve:
- Active contribution as a key member of the Engineering Management team.
- Responsible for service delivery of all aspects of the design-related Classification, Verification, Certification and other work carried out by the Engineering team.
- Provide strategic and technical leadership and direction for engineering service delivery teams.
- Take commercial responsibility for work executed within the teams.
- Contribute to business development and tendering activities
- Act as line manager for service delivery team leaders
- Ensure effective competency and training requirements are developed and administered to support successful delivery of services and development for personnel - both within the european region and globally.
- To be actively involved in recruiting personnel to meet the demands of the delivery teams.
- Represent the company to external clients, regulators and other stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Technical
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
- Significant experience in the operational delivery of design-related services within the upstream industry.
- A sound understanding of the procedures and practices of Classification, Verification and Certification as applicable to design-related services to the upstream industry.
Managerial
- Proven track record in leading a design engineering team, with the ability to prioritise work to meet company and client deadlines.
- Strong people management skills
- Strong project management skills
- Strong commercial awareness and resource planning skills
- Good relationship builder, client focused with (both internal and external) client management skills.
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal.
